The permanent exhibition in the former home of Albert Anker shows the life and commitment of the artist in thematic chapters. The man and artist is shown both in his Bernese home village of Ins and in the national and international context of the 19th and early 20th centuries. In a sequence of niche rooms, numerous exciting and surprising stages of life are documented, from the Anker family to his companions to Anker’s interest in education, history and technology.

The permanent exhibition is bilingual, supported by audiovisual media, self-explanatory and can be visited individually from March to November.
