Kick-off End of the main season: Looking back on a successful season with the temporary exhibition ‘Fascination Japan – The Albert Anker Collection’
The Centre Albert Anker can look back on a successful second main season: the number of visitors between 24 May and 21 September 2025 more than exceeded expectations. During the approximately 55 days it was open from Friday to Sunday, 3,217 people visited the Centre Albert Anker. In addition, 57 group tours took place from Tuesday to Thursday. As the many entries in our guest book show, the response to this year’s temporary exhibition ‘Fascination Japan’ and the thematically related workshops was very positive.
This year’s exhibition, curated by Daniela Schneuwly-Poffet, was created in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Hans Bjarne Thomsen, professor at the Art History Institute of the University of Zurich, and doctoral student Saskia Goldschmid.
