Permanent exhibition
The permanent exhibition in Albert Anker’s former residence enlightens us on the artist’s living and working environment. It presents the person and the artist from the angle of Bernese village life in Ins as well as in the national and international contexts of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. A succession of recessed spaces records fascinating and surprising individual episodes in his life; gives insights into the Anker family, the artist’s lifelong friends, as well as into Albert Anker’s interest in education, history, and technology.
Visits on an individual basis are possible throughout the year
Fri, Sat, Sun, 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
