Visiting Albert Anker’s haunts in Ins
In an entertaining tour you follow long-established Ins residents who have tracked down Albert Anker’s former haunts in “Eiss” and point out how they are linked to his art. See where his grandmother (Gatschet) grew up, discover where the village school is situated (photo of a physical education lesson), and find out what the inscriptions on the small gravestones near the church tell us about his children Louise and Ruedeli. The highlight of the tour is the visit to the Centre Albert Anker with a guided tour of the former living quarters and of the exceptional artist’s studio that was Anker’s workspace. After the guided tour, you can visit the permanent exhibition at your leisure.
